Award-winning extra virgin olive oils
Mardouw’s olive oil products consistently receive top awards in international competitions, including the New York World Olive Oil Competition, the London International Olive Oil Competition and SA Olive, the South African olive industry association, and are available from major retail stores.
Mardouw’s culinary and cosmetic premium olive oil products are made from olives grown on the private olive estate in Swellendam, South Africa. While our Premium EVOO (250 & 500ml) and our Skincare range (250 & 50ml) are made from blending superior olive cultivars, our flagship XXV is an exceptional single-cultivar extra virgin olive oil.
Culinary extra virgin olive oil
Olive oil is only Extra Virgin if the free fatty “oleic” acid content is below 0,8%. That’s the international standard, promulgated by the International Olive Council. Mardouw’s lab results return consistently remarkably low values: 0.24% FFA and 4.0 meq/kg PV for XXV, and 0.37% FFA and 6.0 meq/kg PV for EVOO. All our olive products are produced with olives grown in the fertile Breede River Valley terroir at the private Mardouw Olive Estate in Swellendam, South Africa. Our olives are irrigated with fresh mountain water from the Langeberg Mountains, cold-processed on the estate and free from colourants and preservatives.
Cosmetic extra virgin olive oil
